Stelian ARION has academic degrees in electronics and management. He is the owner and CEO of Secant Security SRL, an OSPA-winning engineering and advisory company in the field of security. His expertise includes physical and information security, risk management and continuity management, critical infrastructure protection, defense and national security. He is a registered physical security risk assessor and information security consultant.

He is vice-president of ARTS, member of the board of directors of several Romanian associations related to security and member of Asis International. Currently, he teaches for ARTS Training Center and the Romanian Banking Institute. He is the president of several technical committees of the Romanian Standardization Body (ASRO) related to physical security and information security and member of the technical committee of the Romanian Accreditation Body (RENAR). Since 2019 he has been chairman of the board of directors of SCoR Cluster. He contributes to the revision of legislation and the development of occupational standards and participates in research projects in European consortia.
